After an epic battle with a seized seat post, locating replacement sti shifters and general rebuild the revolution is finally over! here it is in all its 1991 glory. and onto the next project, a 2010 Muddyfox Annihilation. pics to follow.

Workshop

I have final finished my bikeworkshop which has been a while in the making. im still slowly building up my tools but i am very happy with the result. here are a few pics of it.

Well here it is! My restored Dawes Galaxy.... its has Shimano 600 arebesque deraileurs, a Sugino maxy chainset on a cartridge shimano bottom bracket. i have put a new 6spd cassette on the rear wheel and new bearings. i have added weinmann areo brake levers connected to dawes drop bars on a GB stem. Then i added vintage mudguards and rear rack.

Dawes Galaxy Restoration

Here is my Dawes Galaxy half way through its restoration. In the end i decided not to get  it resprayed as it was not cost affective. So i gave it a good clean with T cut which removed years of dirt and grime and brought back its shine. I then gave it a two coats of laquer to protect the original paint job. I also cleaned up the chrome weinmann wheels and forks.I purchased a 27.00mm kalloy seat post to replace the old one and added a slim line saddle ( i am contemplating adding a more suitable saddle maybe a brooks?) I have fitted original suntour down tube shifters connecting shimano arebesque 600 front and rear mechs. i also added a GB stem connected to Dawes drop bars with weinmann brake levers. next steps are to locate a arebesque 600 double chainset and attach chain and connect the brake cables. then add the raleigh suede handle bar tape i sourced to complete the work!

Boardman Team FS

Here is the bike i have finally bought! it has a great spec and weighs only 28lbs for a fs rig! I tested it out today in Brechfa and was impressed with it, though i will be changing the continental speed kings as they didnt provide much grip.

For Sale

I got this bike through work with broken suspension forks for £10 i replaced the forks and added a brake caliper it is now on sale on ebay for £80 so hoping to make an easy £40 profit to go towards my bike fund!

Work Stand

Today i bought a new bike workstand so i can work on my bikes. it was only £30 from lidl. Will let you know how it holds up!
